14.55 BST: It's not like anyone's spoken about it for a while, but Didier Drogba has played down whatever speculation there might still be about a Chelsea exit. "You saw me in a Chelsea shirt on Sunday and I think that is how you will see me all season," he said in the Daily Mail.
14.51 BST: Brad Friedel has dismissed reports that a possible move for him from Aston Villa to Fulham was one of the reasons behind Martin O'Neill quitting the club. I really don't know where that came from."

14.32 BST: Juventus defender Fabio Grosso has been linked with a move to Birmingham, but his agent says there's not been any contact. "I know about the interest through an intermediary, but I haven't heard anything directly from Birmingham," Giuseppe Bozzo told Sky Italia. "Last year, he signed a three-year deal with Juventus, but now I'm reading that he is not part of Del Neri's plans. We'll see if something major happens that not only meets economic demands but more importantly the requirements of the man and his family."

14.07 BST: Hull head of football operations Adam Pearson has confirmed his interest in signing Arsenal forward Jay Simpson. "Jay Simpson is a player we have expressed an interest in and that is as far as it has gone," Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail. "We still have to move players on before we can consider signing anyone, so our situation would need to change."
14.05 BST: Carlos Tevez was said to be unhappy at City a week or so ago, but it seems he may be planning a long stay. "I hope we improve on last season and can challenge for the title right to the end," he toldZOO. "That's what we want, but the first challenge is to qualify for the Champions League. Five years is a long way off, but I think we will have won the league title by that time."

12.01 BST: Owen Coyle is predicting a big future for Danny Ward at Bolton but may yet decide to send the young forward out on loan again. Ward enjoyed a successful loan stint with Swindon last season, scoring nine goals as the Robins reached the League One play-off final.
