12.14 BST: Aston Villa have rejected an approach from Blackpool to take midfielder Barry Bannan back on loan.
12.00 BST: More financial woe at Everton. They couldn't even afford to bring Craig Bellamy in. Manager David Moyes has said: "If we had big, big money we would have tried to buy a top-class forward, but we've had to go down other routes. How close did we come [to signing Bellamy]? We had a genuine interest. We just couldn't afford the whole thing."
11.50 BST: Juventus have announced on their official website that they have signed winger Milos Krasic from CSKA Moscow.
11.15 BST: Well it may not happen now, but Wesley Sneijder wants Dirk Kuyt at Inter. "With him it's like playing with 12 and not 11 players," Sneijder told Corriere dello Sport of Kuyt.
10.52 BST: Liverpool are after a striker and have made an offer of £9 million for PSV Eindhoven striker Ola Toivonen, apparently.
10.34 BST: Arsenal are considering whether to bring West Ham defender Matthew Upson back to the club. With just one year left on his contract, offers of about £7 million for the England international could tempt them into a sale.
10.22 BST: Werder Bremen have moved quickly to fill the void left by the sale of Mesut Ozil to Real Madrid by signing Brazilian midfielder Wesley from Santos.
10.02 BST: Juventus apparently want more firepower up front and have eyed Milan forwards Marco Borriello and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.
09.44 BST: Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson had 'gentlemen's agreement' with Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed over the signing of his old players, but that could come crashing down if he goes for £3 million worth of Paul Konchesky.
09.30 BST: Birmingham are evidently having trouble sleeping as they want to bring in Mr Insomnia - sorry, Charles N'Zogbia - with a bid of around £8.5-£9 million.
09.15 BST: As if they don't have enough widemen already, Manchester United are reportedl close to signing 16-year-old Ajax winger Gyliano van Velzen.
09.05 BST: Here's a look through some of the paper gossip today.
Daily Mirror: Keeper merry-go-round here, so Mark Schwarzer goes to Arsenal and Mark Hughes wants Stoke's Asmir Begovic to replace the veteran Australia international. If this all fails Maarten Stekelenburg goes to to Arsenal and Shay Given stays put. Everton want to get rid of Joseph Yobo apprently. And Stephen Ireland already feels at home at Villa.
Daily Mail: Luke Young didn't agree terms with Liverpool, but now he's set to join West Ham! £2.5m is a popular figure as a deal for Celtic's Marc-Antoine Fortune could also be in the offing. Tottenham have been quoted £8.5 million to take Lassana Diarra after Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho said he will not allow the midfielder to go out on loan.
Daily Star Jose Mourinho wants Didier Drogba and will pay £20 million to bring him to Real Madrid. Inter say they are not in for Mascherano and Steven Pienaar has been told that this contract offer won't increase.
09.00 BST: Good morning everyone, an early line from the papers says that Dirk Kuyt and Javier Mascherano won't be allowed to join Inter, according to Roy Hodgson.
